Zentigration: The Art of infusing your life with Art, Journaling, Meditation & Creative Movement
Zentigration is an optional after school activity that was started in February of this year. Zentigration is a fusion of Art, journaling, meditation and creative movement. Open to all students, faculty and staff, Zentigration is held on Mondays and Thursdays in the library from 2:35 to 3:05. On Mondays, we welcome Alicia Mitchelson to guide us in meditation, creative movement and breathing exercises. On Thursdays, Mrs. Van Campen leads the participants in an art and/or journaling activity that embraces Social Emotional Learning and offers a safe space for everyone to create, express and relax. Along with offering healthy snacks, tea to take home, journal prompts and a collection of positive affirmation cards, everyone is invited to create their own journal to use during the meeting times and to take home. Social Emotional Learning and modeling positive and healthy lifestyle habits are an integral part of quality education and Zentigration, the art of infusing your life with zen, intrinsically motivates the students to be "Fully Prepared, and Life ready."
The Zentigration Station is located in Mrs. Van Campen's room. Offering a constant supply of inspiration cards, positivity and the Zentigration calendar of events.
